Lens Treatments FAQs
Many lenses today made of polycarbonate materials already have scratch-resistant features built in. However, most lenses are made of a resin known as CR-39, which doesn’t automatically include any lens coatings, so if scratch-resistance is important to you, ask your optician to confirm you are purchasing the right lenses for your lifestyle.
If you wear glasses you already understand the frustration of seeing your lenses fog up as soon as you step inside from the cold. Small water droplets fog up your lenses when the surrounding temperatures are warmer than the lenses. Anti-fog coatings help prevent lenses from becoming cloudy no matter the weather.
Even the best lens treatment can’t 100% guarantee that your lenses will never be scratched. However, the higher the quality of the coating, the better the protection.

The minute I walked in they offer you coffee or water and the people are just so friendly it’s a treat to be able to be treated like a human being instead of just worrying how much you are going to spend! The exam was awesome though and definitely done right. The woman who helped me pick out glasses was the best she even introduced me to the owner and he was so down to earth.
